How To Root Oppo F1S (A1601) | Install TWRP Recovery

Hello, Friends welcome to Mod My Android. Today we are giving info on how to Root Oppo F1S
Rooting your Android device gives you full access to the device it gives you the ability to do any type of customization.Every mobile phone has different process to do root or install recovery.Below guide will help you to root Oppo F1S (A1601) with a step to step guide and also with images so let’s start.

Before we start

  • Backup (optional): In this process, nothing is deleting but Don’t forget to backup all your personal data before we start It’s just for your safety if anything goes wrong.
  • Battery: Make sure to charge your mobile before start process.At least 60% battery is available.
  • USB Debugging: On your phone, go to Settings > Device Info > Tap on Build Number 7 times > Go back to the main Settings page > Open Developer Options > Enable USB Debugging
  • OEM Unlock :  In your phone, go to Settings > Open Developer Options > Enable OEM Unlock > Select EnableOEM unlocking

Root Oppo F1S Using Framaroot


Root oppo f1s

  1. In your mobile, open Settings-> Security. Enable Unknown Sources.
  2. Download and install the Framaroot apk file to your mobile from this
  3. Open the app, select Install Superuser.
  4. In the list of first select Gandalf.
  5. Wait for the rooting to finish.
  6. If the process fails.
  7. Then try again with Aragorn exploit.
    After getting the ‘Success’ message, you can install the Root Checker app from Play Store to verify whether your device has been rooted or not.

Root Oppo F1S Using KingRoot


  1. In your mobile, open Settings-> Security, and enable Unknown Sources.
  2. Download and install the Kingoroot apk from above link. In case the installation gets blocked, tap on more details and select ‘Install Anyway’.
  3. Launch the app, swipe through the welcome screens, and tap ‘Try It’.
  4. The app will check if your device is able to root or not. Make sure your internet connection is turned on.
  5. When the process is complete, tap ‘Try root’.
  6. Wait for the process to finish. The device may reboot more than once.

When the process is finished successfully, you can try out some of Kingroot’s other features, like game boost, bloatware removal etc.

Now check Root access with root checker app if you still not get luck try out last way to root Oppo F1s.

Use Fastboot to Root Oppo F1S

If all two methods fail, you can try to do it using ADB to gain root access. This method has better chances of success but is a bit complicated than last two methods to Root Oppo F1S.In this process firstly install custom recovery and then Root through custom recovery.

Basic needs

  • Download all drivers needed to contact your phone with Pc.
  • Enable USB Debugging and OEM unlock as discuss in an upper part.
  • Download and install Android SDK tools on your PC from this link (Place it into C folder of PC)
  • Download TWRP Custom recovery image from this link. Place it in the same folder as Android SDK Tools, and rename the file to twrp.img.
  • Download SuperSU Recovery flashable zip from this link. Transfer this file to the root directory of your SD Card (don’t put it inside any folder).
  • Backup all your important data to your SD Card or PC.
  • Charge your device to at least 60%.

Install Custom Recovery on Oppo F1S

– Connect your device to your PC via a USB cable.

– In your PC, open android-SDK folder (the default path is C:/Program Files/Android/android-SDK)

– In Android-SDK folder Press Shift+Right Click. Select Open Command Window here.

– Connect your device to your PC via a USB cable.

– In the command window type following code to check phone is connected


fastboot devices

– If all drivers were installed properly, your device will show up along with device name

– Now power off your phone again and reboot into fastboot mode (by pressing Power and Volume up buttons together for a few seconds).

– Now type the following commands:


fastboot OEM unlock

fastboot flash recovery twrp.img


fastboot reboot

– As soon as your device shuts down, press and hold the Power and Volume Down button together until the Oppo logo reappears.

– Your device will now enter TWRP Recovery mode.

– Now Select Install TWRP.

– Now select the SuperSU zip file, and swipe right to install.

– When finished, select reboot.

– Wait for your device to power up. You will find the SuperSU app in your app list.

Your device is now rooted.Now enjoy root on your device.
